Delwen Stander – Peacemaker

I have been making peace between people in dispute since my teens.  Eventually I came to see that He was calling me to do so more formally.  As a lawyer, doing litigation for the Courts of B.C., I am more than familiar with what an expensive, time-consuming, and profoundly unsuited a forum the Courts are for Christians in dispute.  So, beginning in 2005, I began doing peace-making as part of my mediation practice, as a service to Christians. Almost two decades, and many peace-making sessions later, it has proven to be the most spiritually rewarding and satisfying part of my work.
